Throughout our over 50 year history, AIESEC has continually expanded the reach of its network, bringing a unique youth leadership development platform to countries and regions where such a concept is most relevant.
From our extension to Latin America and Africa in the 1960's, our operations in communist Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia during the Cold War and most recently, our rapid expansion into the former Soviet Union countries in the 1990's, AIESEC has continuously expanded to the places where its platform is most in demand.
In 2005, AIESEC has launched an international initiative, focusing on expanding our activities to two major regions of the world where AIESEC is needed - The Middle East and North Africa, and Central Asia.
